In hockey, the space between the goaltender's legs. A mobile goalie's most vulnerable spot. Some goalies deliberately leave an opening as a target, then quickly close up. Patrick Roy is famous for this and has a pad design that accentuates any apparent opening. From the conventional numbering of places to shoot:
