Small towel, smaller than a hand towel, usually decorative. Found in the sort of bathrooms that also have Maja soap, usually right over the main hand towel. Supposedly for daintily drying one's fingertips after washing your hands (after using the toilet), since that's the only part affected by fecal coliform bacteria. Unfortunately, more than your fingertips are wet, and the FT towel is too dainty to mess up for the next person. Hence, there's usually a run on toilet paper. Sigh.
