In the
Forgotten Realms campaign setting for
Dungeons and Dragons, the
fey'ri are a race of
elf-
tanar'ri crossbreeds -
tieflings,
cambions and
alu-demons in a great mixture. They originate in the area around
Hellgate
Keep - formerly known as
Ascalhorn - but there's little reason to imagine
they won't be encountered elsewhere. They are cunning, scheming creatures, and
should not be regarded as sword-fodder by any means. The name fey'ri is an
amalgam of
fey and
tanar'ri.
These creatures originally appeared in the Second Edition
Advanced Dungeons and
Dragons module Hellgate Keep, and have since appeared in the
Cloak and
Dagger sourcebook, the
Monsters of Faerûn supplement
and the
Lords of Darkness sourcebook.
