A
quick, deft
kayaking
stroke used to turn a
boat into or out of an
eddy. By dropping a
blade in tight to the
kayak, the
paddler can
lean on that
blade and get the
kayak out of the
water, turning the
kayak around the
blade. From the outside
perspective it looks something like the
stroke which would most effectively
splash water all over the
bow of the
boat.
