dramaticam

Hypothetical artificial intelligence camera used in Star Trek. The bridge cameras that record the Captain's Log entries have special a.i. programming that allows them to pan and zoom to capture the most dramatically relevant action. Be it James T. Kirk's face, his pudgy fingers pressing buttons, or a group shot with Spock and McCoy, the dramaticam gets it all for later use at court martials and other Federation amusements. Example: Court Martial (TOS).

Sometimes also installed on deep space probes.
