A type of convenience store found only in Quebec. It distinguishes itself from the standard Canadian convenience store by adding beer and wine to it's product mix. Although alcohol stops being served at 3 AM dépanneurs must lock up their alcoholic beverages after 11 PM if they wish to remain open through the night. The shelves in these places are usually stocked with oddly un-american forms of junk food sporting brightly colored bilingual labels.
