Spanish for cockroach; the word is probably most familiar to Americans as the title ("La Cucaracha") of a song, to which the tune is much more well-known than the words.

In some Spanish-speaking countries, "cucaracha" is also used as slang for "drugs". Or maybe it was "druggie". Hence one version of the lyrics.

Cucaracha

In a cocktail glass, put one part kalhua and two parts of tequila. Light on fire for one minute and drink with a straw while it is burning. Comments: It will knock your panties down. (Recipe is from Mexico.)
