Crayola is a brandname of the Binney & Smith corporation. The Crayola brand started in 1903 with the first box of 8 crayons. The original eight colors were: Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Violet. Today they make crayons, markers, colored pencils, paints, modeling compounds and craft and activity products for use in school and home, and the have more than 100 different crayon colors.
