Thankfully not a
literal concept, crapshoot refers to a risky or uncertain outcome. The origin of this concept comes from the
felt-covered
tables of
Las Vegas, and a
game known as
craps.
Playing craps apparently involves shooting something...perhaps the other players? I don't really know, but it all sounds very suspect to me.
