A quintessential Baltimore food, a staple of the local cuisine throughout Maryland. Generally made with lump meat or backfin from the Maryland Blue Crab, egg, breadcrumbs, and Old Bay. Often served on a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Many places throughout the region have signs reading Best Crabcakes in Town, but it can't be true for every single one of them.
