My generic term for anyone whose primary work responsibility it is to manage computer systems or networks in one way or another. I include sysadmins, help desk workers, network managers, programmers, training staff, repair technicians, media specialists, and operators in this category.

Computer professionals are not merely people who use computers to get their job done. They are people for whom the computer is the job.
