Things that collect dust (albeit passively), include:
Hardy Boys &
Nancy Drew books, old
beta video tapes, the
half fixed hot rod in the garage, old
hockey bags full of gear, those
trophies you won for
5 pin bowling (including the shirts with patches), even that old
Apple .
Objects collect dust instead of being useful, the phrase is used to express the fact that something has been
lethargic or
dormant. Perhaps even dead due to lost interest or lack of motivation. Don't just sit there and collect dust! Go out and enjoy life.. go watch a movie.. go get a date with that nice girl across the way.. why are you always in your bedroom collecting dust??
Collecting dust really IS
a safe hobby though.. hard to get hurt, and the rules aren't too hard to follow at all! You can also multi-task while you collect, just not too fast!
