Coding Music is also used to mean music that is good to listen to while writing code. Most computer programmers that I've met have a certain set of criteria for what music they listen to while coding. Some will say that classical music is the way to go, with the complex almost mathemetical structures building themselves over time to stimulate the mind. Some people swear by techno, ska, or even The Ramones, as if the steady driving backbeat were a clock signal propigating through the brain of the programmer driving the logic circuits as they lay down new code.

One way or another, I find it to be true that when I have a lot of code to write, the work flows more smoothly if I select the right music for the task at hand. I may bring a totally different set of CDs to work if I'm designing data structures than if I'm debugging some old network code.
