Also called a prototype board, a breadboard is a board with holes into which wires, electrical components, or integrated circuits may be inserted. Particular groups of holes in the breadboard are connected together with traces on the back of the board. A breadboard is useful for experimentation and prototyping in electrical engineering, because it's very easy to connect and disconnect components in any desired layout.
