Particularly used to desribe the brachiocephalic vein and the brachiocephalic artery, the artery serving to carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to the upper body and head, and the vein serving to carry de-oxygenated blood back to right auricle of the heart to be sent to the lungs for re-oxygenation.
