Bowls or lawn bowling, is the act of rolling heavy coconut sized balls along a well maintained grass green in order to place them in close proximity to a smaller, white ball known as a jack. Oponents balls can be knocked out of position in order to obtain this goal. Bowls is popular with elderly folk who find it a relaxing and enjoyable excerise to undertake of a Sunday afternoon.
