On the
WWW, a
link that purports to be to someplace, and in fact leads you to somewhere else.
Very common in
pornography sites, the blind link may be something like this :
Picture of a naked coed having sex with an anonymous hash reference
Or, more subtle, at the bottom of a page titled "College of forced
cool whipping 1/2" you may find a link to "Page 2". In fact that link takes you to a
paysite, and covers your screen with
consoles.
Some blind links use
Javascript silliness to alter the
URL that is displayed in the bottom of your
navigator windows.
