A language designed to be learned by speakers of two different natural languages, to help them communicate. The idea is, the auxlang is easier to learn than a whole new natlang, and many auxlangs are designed to be as similar as possible to natlangs, and as easy to learn as possible. These are, of course, contradictory goals.
