surreal feeling that comes over a
real hacker when he or she finds something new to
tinker or
play with. Especially applies to
technology, but can also be directed towards
other things such as
cars or
bikes or
skateboards. Anything that has a million and one
interchangable parts that require a
little technical knowledge to understand, but a lot of technical knowledge to fully
exploit. After the initial onset of the need for a new toy, one of two things will happen. The object in question might lose its
appeal and be
supplanted by something else or the object will become a
permanent fixture of that
hacker's life for atleast a few
weeks.
