Zero 7 are Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns: sound engineers from North London.
Their debut album, Simple Things shows the experience that they have gained from years of remixing artists such as Radiohead (Climbing up the Walls), Lambchop and Terry Callier. It is a beautiful, fully-formed mature work, which was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2001.

Their music is the sort of soulful lounge/ downbeat electronica, laden with pop culture influences and cinematic/ TV theme references that inevitably draws comparisons with bands such as Air, though their style is certainly distinct.

Simple Things includes collabarations with Australian vocalist Sia amongst others, and has been championed by Radio 1 DJ Gilles Peterson.
