Winkle

Winkle - The origin of this term is unknown (to me)but a winkle is basically any computer techie made to do menial tasks, such as hmmm - almost anything for a pittance. Damagement is usually responisble for handing out winkle work and turning interesting projects into winkle-work

Any one of various marine spiral gastropods, esp., in the United States, either of two species of Fulgar (F. canaliculata, and F. carica).

⇒ These are large mollusks which often destroy large numbers of oysters by drilling their shells and sucking their blood.
