Often, when looking for wine to purchase, you come across wine with the word 'reserve' written on it. The implication is that this is better wine. However, this is not necessarily true. In the United States, at least, there is no legal regulation of this word. Anyone who wants to can use it on their wine bottles. Therefore, 'Reserve' can be anything from excellent wine to jug wine consisting mainly of sugar water and cheap grapes which were rejected from the raisin farms of Fresno. So dont use this word to base your choise of wine.
