Videologger is the flagship software product from San Mateo based Virage. It's a video encoding manager, an information extraction tool, and an open-ended multimedia processing tool, all wrapped into one.

Videologger has a sophisticated plug-in API so that developers, using our SDK, can enhance the functionality of Videologger by any means. One can develop a plug-in for Digital Video input, various information output, different timecode signatures, database exports, and finally media analysis. Media analysis plugins are the newest addition to videologger, where a developer can write code to get full access to the video and audio streams, as well as any metadata extracted in the other software tracks. From here one can run any form of custom processing they'd like on the sources.
