A really stinkin' fast math coprocessor unit in the Playstation 2. Inside the Emotion Engine (EE) core, there are two Vector Units (VU0 and VU1), and they kick the living shit out of any other current consumer electronics device in terms of raw processing power. They are also extremely difficult to program efficiently due to their complex pipelined design. For this reason they are waffle keen geek fodder.
