This a two-person
dinghy designed and manufactured by
Vanguard Sailboats in
Rhode Island. It is a simple yet high
performance boat. There are only two
sails, and
main and
jib. This makes it easy to start and also very comparable to dinghy used in
college sailing like the the
420 and
FJ, all are non-
spinnaker boats. The Vanguard differs from these other designs in the fact that its
hull is wider and flatter, making heavy air
