Founded in 1958 the Union des Confédérations de l'Industrie et des Employeurs d'Europe or the Union of Industrial and Employer's Confederations of Europe or UNICE for short is the European wide representative body for employer's organisations that describes itself as the "voice of business in Europe".

The UNICE Secretariat is based in Brussels where it employs around 40 members of staff to coordinate the efforts of its various working groups and policy committees and administers the whole organisation. UNICE's membership consists of 34 business federations from 27 European countries, plus another 5 federations which have observer status as listed below.
