Unhygienix is the fish-seller in Asterix's small, rebellious Gaulish village. He is a rather rotund fellow, and means well (in his own way). He has a firm sense of honor, and is quick to defend it.

The freshness of his wares is suspect, to say the least. They are sometimes co-opted for use in combat with Roman legionaries, a not infrequent occurrence.

Large fights involving the whole village often break out, after an irate customer demands a refund on fish that's obviously past its prime, and everyone takes sides, more or less randomly.
