Lieutenant Commander Tuvok (Tim Russ) was a Vulcan who served as second officer and chief of security aboard the USS Voyager under Captain Janeway on the TV show Star Trek: Voyager.
Before joining Voyager he was posing as a Maquis aboard a Maquis ship commanded by Chakotay (Robert Beltran) and in 2293 served under Captain Sulu (George Takei) aboard the USS Excelsior as junior science officer.
In 2298 he resigned from Starfleet and returned in 2343, was assigned to the USS Wyoming and later reassigned to the USS Voyager (NCC-74656) in 2371.
Born 2264, married T'Pel in 2304 with three sons and one daughter.
Tuvok was demoted from Lt. Cmdr. to Lt, presumably in Prime Factors (VOY), later being promoted back up to Lt. Cmdr. This is actually simply assumed because the costume department screwed up and gave him the wrong number of pips and nobody noticed for a while.
