T.O.M.T.I.T - (Transmission of Matter Through Interstitial Time machine) This is sort of a lesser TARDIS introduced in Doctor Who episode The Time Monster, one of the more ingenius devices used during the History of The Master. The Master is posing as Professor Thascales to give a presentation of the TOMTIT at the Newton Institute in Wootton just outside Cambridge. The Master hypnotises Doctor Charles Percival (John Wyse) at the Institute when he becomes suspicious. At the heart of TOMTIT is a trident-shaped crystal. With the Master gone, his assistants, Doctor Ruth Ingram (Wanda Moore) and Stuart Hyde (Ian Collier), decide to run a test before the demonstration. This enables Doctor Who to locate the rough position of The Master and so goes the remainder of the conflict.

Tom"tit` (?), n. [Tom (see Tomboy) + tit the bird.] Zool. (a)

[Prov.eng.] (b)
