This Town

This town is small,

But it is not boring.

The years have passed here,

But not in vain.

Much has been learned,

And a life has been formed.

I have no regrets,

Or at least very few.

Friends I have or have had,

Companions of head and heart.

This place I am leaving,

But the memories go with me.

I have dreams of far away and forever,

But this town is my dream of home.
