Third Party OutSourcing is a relatively recent occurance. This is where one company with a large user base (Dell computers, Compaq, AOL, etc) will pay another company a certain amount of money, usually based on calls taken, or quality assurance measurments, to take a percentage of their call flow. A third party outsourcing company will generally handle several different campaigns at the same time (Dell, Bell South, and Logitech, for example.) This type of job is usually well paid, but stressful, as most third party outsourcing companies do not have an orbital laser with which to fry those customers who are most in need of removal from the gene pool.
