The following is a quote that made the rounds among my group of friends several years ago. It is reputed to be the voice of historian and JFK biographer Arthur Schelsinger, but I'm sure it's apocryphal. It is, nevertheless, amusing:
I went down tot he green to play football with those cool Kennedy boys. But they called me a wonk, a wimp, and a weenie, and they said I walked like a duck. But I told them that, one day, I was going to be a famous historian, and I'd write anything they wanted me to, as long as they let me play. They said no.
