Theta Xi is a national fraternity that was started at RPI on April 29, 1864. It was started as an engineering fraternity and was only opened at engineering schools in the beginning. The first 7 chapters were RPI, Yale, Stevens Tech, MIT, Columbia, Cornell, and Lehigh.
