  • Pol Pot was a friend, when Vietnam invaded Cambodia; the US, sore losers in Nam, gave tacit approval to The Killing Fields.

  • Osama bin Laden was a friend, helping end Soviet rule in Afghanistan; now he's public enemy #1.

    We have always been at war with Eurasia, right?
