An English punkrockband 1979-80. They would have been classic, with 45s like "Babylon's Burning" and their debut "In a Rut". But lead singer Malcolm Owen died of an overdose in July of 1980; the posthumously-released "Staring at the Rude Boys" was also classic. The band continued as Ruts D.C. (da capo), moving more towards the reggae part of the "Punky Reggae Party" that they were the Life of - but someone was missing.
