The Rachel is the hairstyle made popular in the mid 90's by Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel on the TV show Friends.
It seemed like every girl wanted to get that hair because they thought it would make them look like Rachel. Many of them not realizing how silly they looked because they did not have Rachel's body, face, and long neck to make the hair look right.

Today this hairstyle seems to have fallen out of fashion, not even Jennifer Aniston wears it much anymore.
