Babylon 5 Season 1, Episode 5. Won an Emmy award for Makeup Design. Originally aired on February 23, 1994. Written by J. Michael Straczynski, directed by Jim Johnston.

Primary Plot: An old enemy of G'Kar sends an assassin to the station to kill him.

Secondary Plot: A cultural exchange is organized where each alien society aboard station will have an opportunity to demonstrate their dominant religious beliefs.<br>

Tertiary Plot: Catherine Sakai, an old girlfriend of Commander Sinclair, arrives aboard station.

Commentary: This is the first comedy episodes, as even the G'Kar assassination thread has funny aspects to it. The rebirth ceremony put on by the Minbari is reprised in Ceremonies of Light and Dark, in Season 3. The whole "cultural exchange" idea put forth by the Earth Alliance is important because it establishes the current administration (President Luis Santiago, specifically) as open-minded and not xenophobic. This episode also has one of my favorite B5 quotes, spoken by Londo Mollari when he's very, very drunk:

"Everybody's cute...everybody's cute. Yes, you are cute too (pointing to Garibaldi), in an annoying sort of way. Everybody's cute! Even me! But in purple, I am STUNNING!"
