An original 2-Tone band, leaving the fold early on, after getting their own 2-Tone-like deal from Arista on the strength of their skaified "Tears of a Clown". Their music became as diverse as The Specials, from the seamless genre-blend "Mirror in the Bathroom" to the straight reggae of "Pato and Roger" to the exquisite pop of "Save It for Later". They split: Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger formed General Public; David Steele and Andy Cox formed Fine Young Cannibals.
