Refers to the region encompassing
Arkansas and
Texas, particularly the northern portions bordering Arkansas, given the
demographic and
geographic similarities.
There is also a town on the Texas-Arkansas border called Texarkana--technically two towns, Texarkana, Texas (population 30,000) and Texarkana, Arkansas (population 20,000) each with their own government and services, but the state line runs directly through the downtown (coinciding with Miller Street).
