Many folks are confused about Tequiza. They think it's a beer. And why not? It's got beer in it!

Tequiza, it must always be remembered, is a mixed drink in a bottle. No doubt there are many hard-core beer fans who don't like it, but I think it's because they are approaching it incorrectly. You also have to factor in the cool factor in "hating girly drinks". It's much more manly to like a "pure" beer.

Tequiza is a sweet drink, a beer mixed with syrup ostensibly made from the blue agave plant, the same plant used to make tequila. When you drink it, a subtle hint of tequla flavor does come across. But it's not tequila flavor, it's agave.
