Teddy Ruxpin was actually in a cartoon, as well, it was not just a toy. It featured heart-warming tales of thrilling adventure (exaggeration may be present), and I believe it still airs on some stations. The cartoon is called, "The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin".

There main characters were:
  • Teddy Ruxpin; the goody two-shoes bear.
  • Gimmick; the token mad (but friendly) scientist/inventor.
  • Grubby; a crazy yellow centipedish creature, that happened to be rather large for an insect. (Orion tells me that Grubby is an Octopeed.)
  • Tweeg & L.B.; the main bad guys. L.B. is a "bounder", a little thing that looks pretty much like a head on feet, and Tweeg is a gross wierd green thing.
  • Leota; a kindly woodsprite that helps them out on several occasions.
They all live in the land of Grundo, and are always trying to save and protect medallions and crystals and venturing to places like "The Hard-to-find City" (they actually called it that). I used to watch this show all the time, it wasn't that bad, I suppose, but didn't have much as far as intellectual stimulation goes.
