The largest fraternity in the world. Founded by: Joseph L. Settles, James C. McNutt, Clarence A. Mayer, Owen I. Truitt, and C. Roy Atkinson on January 10, 1899 at Illinois Wesleyan University as the "Knights of Classic Lore". It was one of the last 2 fraternities founded in the 19th century. Abbreviated as TKE and pronounced "teke." Anyone in TKE is known as a "teke."
