The most common brand of rolling paper or rollie sold in Australia, Tally-Ho are often the only brand available at milk bars, supermarkets and servos, proudly advertising the fact that they are "Australia's #1 rolling paper" on their packaging. Tally-Ho are in fact made in Belgium.

Tally-Ho come in packets of "50 regular gummed papers", featuring "Natural Arabic Gum and New Rounded Corners". On the back of the package we are informed that they are "packed for Imperial Tobacco Australia Ltd.". There is also a toll-free number listed for "comments": 1 800 652 577.

On the inside flap of the packet there is always a little motto in the style of It's Moments Like These You Need Minties. The package sitting on my desk bears the words "When they're so tight they wouldn't shout if a shark bit them, Just Say Tally Ho". Each packet also bears a ruler and the motto, "Make it a rule: use Tally-Ho!"

Tally-Ho's main competitors in the rolling paper game are the brands Ventti and the newcomer Rollies, and you would be far better grabbing a pack of those. Tally-Ho have an unpleasant taste and are not of an ideal texture for the contruction of a quality spliff. Additionally, Rizla have begun to make an appearance at some 7-11s. Of course, if you are in Australia and are desperate for quality rolling papers you are best to go to a smoking shop such as Off ya Tree, which sell all kinds of paraphernalia. I incline towards the King Size Smoking Green.

Tallies retail for $A0.40 to 0.70 a package.
