TJ is a daily subtracting (by one) variable, that people continuously talk about while they're doing their service in the Finnish Army.

TJ is an acronym for "Tänään jäljellä", which roughly translates as "Remaining today".

When the TJ-variable hits zero, people often rejoice, go crazy, start drinking, and in all cases walk out the garrison gate for the last time.
