One of the first games released by Nintendo for the Game Boy. Super Mario Land is a fun fun fun platform game. Are there any Super Mario games that aren't fun?

Story:
There was once a peaceful world called Sarasaland, which contained 4 kingdoms: Birabuto, Muda, Easton and Chai. But all that suddenly changed when an unknown space monster named Tatanga came out of a crack in a big, black cloud and tried to conquer Sarasaland. Mon Dieu! Tatanga hypnotized everybody so he could control them however he wanted. He also wanted to marry Princess Daisy of Sarasaland... he wanted her to be his queen.

Now, when Mario found out about this he was pretty pissed. So he started on a journey to the Chai Kingdom to save Princess Daisy, restore peace to Sarasaland and generally kick some space monster butt.

One piece of 'music' from Super Mario Land was turned into a pop/dance track by The Ambassadors of Funk featuring MC Mario, some time in the early 90's.

The finished song consisted solely of tinny gameboy generated music with embarrassingly poor vocals played over the top, and yes, it was as bad as you imagine it.
