A phrase heard ad nauseam on athletic fields and in weight training facilities, telling someone to keep playing/running/training despite pain or fatigue. Can be said in a friendly tone of voice with an encouraging pat on the back or yelled menacingly by an angry coach. No one is sure of the exact etymology of this phrase, but its ubiquity testifies to its utility and a surprising lack of adequate synonyms.
