Suburban Barcelona is the area around Metropolitan Barcelona, still accessible by subway, in which people actually live. To picture the neightborhood, imagine a Los Angeles sub-city street spanned across a San Francisco hillside. While the Urban area rests in a valley, everything around it is constructed on and around the hills; like pregnant vines the streets carry houses as their grapes, stretching across the hillside. From a high point one can see the city, beveled like a wave, fading in the distance, into the sky.
