Replaced the Galaxy Class Starship as the flagship of Starfleet when the Enterprise E was comissioned.

This powerful ship is capable of very high warp speeds and is extremely agile for a ship of its size. It was built with deep space exploration and diplomacy in mind. Heavily armed, as well, it has a full array of phaser banks, fore and aft quantum torpedo launcers, and a redundant shielding system.

Editorial: I dig the design of this ship. Sorta brings back images of the first Enterprise, the Constitution Class Starship.
