Something For Kate are a 3-piece band, hailing from Melbourne, Australia. The band consists of:

The name Something For Kate comes from the the name of Paul's Jack Russell dog, Kate. The name was born of a note reminding Paul to get something for Kate from the shops.

Something For Kate are gaining more mainstream popularity all the time, and have been nominated for four ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) awards in 2001, for Best Alternative Release, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Group.

Interesting tidbits - Q&A with Dean Martin is a limited edition re-release of the the first EP, The Answer to Both Your Questions, and the single Dean Martin

The Answer to Both Your Questions is a name created after Paul asked a friend for ideas of what to call the EP, and what to put on the cover. The answer was "The answer to both your questions, is pornography." He did end up naming the album - just not in the way he'd intended!

Something For Kate have recently toured internationally, touring the United States and Japan in March / April of 2000.
