Sociopathy is not the state of the downtrodden and disenfranchised, nor the righteous angry - it is much more rarefied and terrible - a state unaffected by empathy or hampered by an emotional connection with humanity. The criminal is self-interested, the sadist other-interested, but the sociopath is disinterested altogether - just vaguely amused by their imperviousness to the horribleness of the world, and of their own actions.

I personally think "Generation X," and its even more loathsome cousin, "Generation Y," should be discarded as the disgusting marketing nomenclature they are, and the truth be told: this is the Sociopathic Generation.
